Export Initiative Environmental Protection

Since 2016, the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) has been supporting German GreenTech companies in the international dissemination of innovative environmental technologies "Made in Germany" with its "Export Initiative Environmental Protection" (EXI for short) funding program. The aim is to promote optimized environmental conditions for sustainable development and better environmental and living conditions (SDG implementation) in the target countries. The aim is to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

EXI aims to promote international knowledge and technology transfer in particular. Alongside regional activities, funding measures focus in particular on projects in seven action areas.

Tree planting campaign

EXI projects are planting trees – get involved! Trees take up CO2 from the air and so make a valuable contribution to countering climate change. The Export Initiative is calling for tree planting in the target countries.
